The 121st All Japan Kendo Enbu Taikai ,(Kyoto) 6- 8 Dan Kendo Examination and Renshi Shogo Examination

The 121st All Japan Kendo Enbu Taikai will be held from 2nd to 5th of May in Kyoto.

Schedule:

·         Kendo

                     Renshi 6 Dan to Kyoshi 7 Dan(partially) 3rd May 

                     Kyoshi 7 Dan 4th May

                     Kyoshi 8 Dan to Hanshi 8 Dan 5th May  

·         Iaido: Enbu based on Dan and Shogo: 2nd May

·         Jodo: 2nd May

Applicant Requirements: 6 Dan or above

 

The Association may provide subsidy for selected participants.

·         Quota: To be announced later.

·         Amount: HKD $3000 to $5000, depending on the number of applicants.

Terms and Conditions:

·         Participants must be members of the Association or affiliated Kendo clubs/Dojos for at least three years. However, if participants have been members for less than three years, they may register for the Enbu Taikai without the subsidy from the Association.

·         Selected participants will pay for his/her own expenses first, and subsidy will be reimbursed by HKKA after the completion of trip and submission of the report, as well as all expenses receipts (copies will not be accepted) by participants.

·         Selected participant will have to make his/her own arrangement to travel to the airport(including air-ticket ),hotel and venue.

  •         ·        Participants will need to pay the Entry fees for the Taikai to All Japan Kendo Federation themselves. For details, please refer to the attachment.

·         The travel period for this trip must be within two days before the event and one day after the event concludes.

                     Kendo Participants:

                Renshi 6 Dan to Kyoshi 7 Dan (partially) - Event Date: 3rd May

           Submitted receipts should be fall between 1st - 4th May

                Kyoshi 7 Dan - Event Date: 4th May

           Submitted receipts should be fall between 2nd - 5th May

 Kyoshi 8 Dan to Hanshi 8 Dan - Event Date: 5th May

           Submitted receipts should be fall between 3rd - 6th May

                     Iaido Participants: Event Date: 2nd May

Submitted receipts should be fall between 30th April – 3rd May

           All receipts should be within the abovementioned period.

 

The Association will purchase travel insurance for all selected participants, and the insurance cost will be deducted from the funding.

Interested participants are requested to complete the attached registration form (Excel) along with a copy of their Dan and Shogo certificates (format: under 200kb, JPEG or PNG) and submit it via email to the Association's office by 12:00 PM on 18th February, 2025 (Tuesday).

 

The All Japan Kendo Federation will hold 6 to 8 Dan Kendo examinations in Kyoto. Interested parties should contact the Association's office via email.

The HKKA office will charge an administrative fee.

Deadline for Hong Kong participants for Kendo examinations: 18th February (Tuesday).

The All Japan Kendo Federation will hold Renshi Shogo examinations in Kyoto. Interested parties should contact the Association's office via email to obtain the necessary documents.
