The 68th Festival of Sport - Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao - Greater Bay Area Kendo Tournament

The Kendo Association of Hong Kong, China are pleased to announce that The 68^th Festival of Sport - Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao - Greater Bay Area Kendo Tournament will be held on 18^th May 2025 at the Kowloon Park Sports Centre. The Association is now accepting registration. The Registration Deadline will be 29^th April 2025 (Tue), 5:00pm.(The Entry forms for participants,helpers and referees can be found in the same Excel file)

Date: 18^th May 2025 (Sunday)

Time: 0900-1800

Location: Kowloon Park Sports Centre (22 Austin Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon)    

Entry Fee: HK$200 per person (Payment includes competition fees and personal accident insurance. This competition does not provide lunch box.)

Each Dojo submit one form and their formation. It is important to note that all registration forms must be submitted through your dojo representative.

We kindly request your dojo/kendo club to assist in recruiting at least three full-time staff members. The helper form can also be found in the email. (On the Day)The helper reporting time:0730

Event Details: (No registering for two groups or above at the same time)

(A1) Children Individual (I) (Age 6-9, Mixed)

(A2) Children Individual (II) (Age 10-12, Mixed)

(B) Male Teenage Individual (Age 13 – 17)

(C) Female Teenage Individual (Age 13 – 17)

(D) Women’s Individual (Aged 18 or above, 2 Dan or below)

(E) Women’s Open Individual (Aged 18 or above, No Dan Restriction)

(F) Men’s Individual (Aged 18 or above, No Dan)

(G) Men’s Individual (Aged 18 or above, 1 Dan – 2 Dan)

(H) Men’s Open Individual (Age 18 or above, No Dan Restriction)

Referee Recruitment

We would like to invite 3 Dan and above Kendo sensei/ Kendo practitioners to serve as referee.

Please kindly noted that the organizers will prioritize arranging Kendo senseis/practitioners who meet the following criteria to serve as referees.

1. REGISTERED COACHES and

2. Attends Referee Seminar in the past year and

3. 3 Dan or above (Must attend Kiyono Shinobu sensei (Kyoshi 8 Dan)Kendo seminar. The 3 Dan Kendo practitioners will mainly serve as referee in Children or Teenagers events. )

(On the day) Referee Briefing Time:0830

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to the venue.

Please kindly noted that this competition time schedule is expected to be very tight, and Kendo sensei who do not participate in the competition will be given priority to help referee work.
