The 27th President Trophy Kendo Competition

The Association is to hold the 27th President Trophy Kendo Competition on 29th November, 2026  at the Lei Yue Mun Sports Centre.

Place:  (Main Arena, Lei Yue Mun Sports Centre)

Event Category

(A) Women’s 3-Members Team

(B) Men’s 5-Members Team

(C) Mixed Gender 5-Members Team Knockout Match(Each Dojo/Kendo Club can send One team Only)

(D) Mixed Gender East vs. West Team Tournament (If time permits)

Each Dojo submit one form and their formation. It is important to note that all registration forms must be submitted through your dojo representative.

Helper Recruitment

We kindly request your dojo/kendo club to assist in recruiting at least three full-time staff members. The helper form can also be found in the email. (On the Day)The helper reporting time:0730 (tentative)

Due to the venue providing central air conditioning, helpers  are advised to bring their own warm clothing.

Lunch will be provided for Helpers.

Referee Recruitment

We would like to invite 4 Dan and above Kendo sensei/ Kendo practitioners to serve as referee.

Please kindly note that the organizers will prioritize arranging Kendo senseis/practitioners who meet the following criteria to serve as referees.

1. 4 Dan or above  

2. Hold a valid coach certificate    and

3. Attended the Referee Seminar within the past year

4. The special case has been approved by the HKKA executive

(On the day) Referee Briefing Time:0830 (Tentative)

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to the venue.

Please note:

1. Due to the venue providing central air conditioning, referees are advised to bring their own warm clothing.

2. The organizing committee will provide lunch for all referees on the 29th Nov (Sunday).

3.Keiko will be arranged if time allows . For those who are interested, please bring along your Bogu and necessary Kendo equipment.

Please kindly noted that this competition time schedule is expected to be very tight, and Kendo sensei who do not participate in the competition will be given priority to help referee work.
