Visit of Manila Kendo Club, Manila, Philippines

Manila Kendo Club had its origins way back in the 1970's by Japanese Expats that live in Manila. Their love of Kendo found its outlet by teaching Kendo and sharing their passion to Filipinos. In 1997 that Manila Kendo Club was formally established and recognized as an official organization. There were approximately 30 active members then but today that number has nearly tripled. Today there are a proximate a hundred Members from all ages and walk in life. The thrust of Manila Kendo Club is to promote Kendo in the Philippines and to develop good Kendoist. We in Manila Kendo Club believe Kendo will be more popular in the future.
