Compulsory Testing Notice

The Government exercises the power under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Compulsory Testing for Certain Persons) Regulation (Cap. 599J) and publishes in the Gazette a compulsory testing notice, which requires any person who had been present at 49 specified premises during the specified period (persons subject to compulsory testing) to undergo a COVID-19 nucleic acid test.

Specified place: Ap Lei Chau Sports Centre, 1-4/F, Ap Lei Chau Municipal Services Building, 8 Hung Shing Street, Ap Lei Chau, Hong Kong

Specified date(s) and time period(s):

6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on 2 January 2022

Required testing dates:

(1) 6 January 2022 or 7 January 2022

(2) 8 January 2022

(3) 11 January 2022

(4) 16 January 2022

(5) 23 January 2022

Persons subject to compulsory testing in accordance with a compulsory testing notice must go to any of the mobile specimen collection stations, community testing centres (CTCs) or recognised local medical testing institutions to undergo professional swab sampling in fulfilling the requirements for compulsory testing. Young children may continue to undergo the test using a stool specimen.
